Thanks from the bottom of my heart

This book would never have started without the trust, belief and support from my beloved wife, Michelene.

We met in an advanced training academy in Santa Monica, California in 1996. She told me she would like to open an advanced hairdressing school and I said “me too!”

I just do not believe it has taken me so much time just to create a curriculum that I feel is good enough to train my students and my future hairdressers, so that they will have a better chance to survive and succeed. Michelene has been my inspiration to learn and be better; we learn from each other and help each other to be better persons, better teachers and better parents.

The sacrifices made by her and our two young daughters, Meilene and Teaon, will not be forgotten, because they did not have much of me to spend time with over the last six long years that it took to make theses books happen. Since most of the groundwork has been successfully finished, I am taking it easy at work to help me catch up on the lost time with my family.

Once again, I thank them from the bottom of my heart, for they have also made me understand that life is a labor of love, and with passion and vision, you can turn it into art, craft and design, making it as much fun as you want!
